Exhibition Loans

About exhibition loans:

Individual artworks, installations, and full solo exhibitions are available for loan to arts & culture institutions, independent curators' projects, and arts consultant placements.

While Jenie Gao Studio is known for their large-scale projects, the studio has works available for organizations of all sizes and is happy to work with smaller, mission-driven institutions with more modest budgets.

Healthy partnerships are rooted in fair agreements, value in labor, community stewardship, and great communication. Jenie Gao Studio’s exhibition loan agreements prioritize fairness for artists and the safety of their work.

Jenie Gao Studio recommends institutions review WAGE certification requirements in the US and CARFAC in Canada for suggested minimum fees.*

*Note: WAGE and CARFAC's numbers are considered minimum wage for artists and should not be construed to be standard or competitive market rates.

Exhibition loans available for:

  • Solo exhibitions
  • Group exhibitions
  • Not-for-profit arts institutions
  • For-profit art galleries
  • Independent curators
  • Note: institutions must have adequate insurance to host artwork
